Love Margo is a luxurious knitwear company where each garment is hand made for you to treasure and hold onto forever. Made form 100% Italian merino wool each garment is designed and knitted by Catherine Hallinan. Garments from Love Margo aim to hold their value as high fashion trends speed by leaving you dizzy, Love Margo pieces will stick in your wardrobe keeping you fashionably snug.

Love Margo is the brainchild of designer and knitter Catherine Hallinan. Margo is the hypothetical daughter of Tom & Barbara from the Good Life, named after their glamorous and slightly uptight neighbour and friend – Margo Leadbetter. Don’t expect Love Margo clothes to be ill fitting synthetic clothes from the 70’s though, the collection’s ethos is about stepping off the rollercoaster of shopping, choosing more carefully and less frantically. Just like in the TV series ‘The Good Life’, Tom stepping out of the rat race of life, this is a kind of equivalent for fashion. The collection is not about preaching, just a happy and gorgeous alternative. Feel good fashion that you’ll get the use of.

Catherine graduated from Manchester Metropolitan University with a degree in Embroidery and in 2006 bought her first knitting machine. With her knowledge from the textiles degree she picked up the basics of machine knitting and members from a knitting club filled in the holes in her knitting knowledge. The collection has a unique quality that is lacking on the high street and wanting to create garments that are here for the long-haul without skimping on style, wear-ability and gorgeousness.

To make sure you will truly love your garments, Catherine will knit pieces slightly shorter or longer and will undertake commissions. Each piece is knitted by hand from her studio in Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire.
